AVP

Angelo and I went to Long Beach on Saturday to see Jake play in the AVP tournament. All I can say is WOW! What an awe inspiring event. They played their hearts out... My first time to this type of event and I felt a surge of energy like never before. I even went without my shirt and did not care I was so excited. It was utterly heart pumping. Game after game I felt myself getting louder and louder every time Jake scored or Rosie popped it! It all solidified what Jane had been telling me all this time about how great the sport! It was so great that we watched the tourn again on Tivo when we got home that night and I was screaming again!!!

So we were super proud of Jake and seeing them win against another Olympic team was the shiz!! I wish we were going to be in China but I am sure Jake and Jane know we will be screaming at the top of our lungs right here in Cali!!

Team Jake,

July 25, 2008

How about this, Today was Friday and it went by so fast at work that I felt like it should be February. Things have actually worked out at work and I am getting better. I really think I have a probalem with my brain that it moves so fast that I end up making so many mistakes and it is going to get worse if I do not figure out a way to stop it. Not only that all the pressure from this week seeps into my personal and it makes me os insecurew and then I end up upsetting someone or mostly, the thiongs that I think, they do not comeout the way I think and someone usually gets pissed so sorry if you areone of em' I think crawling under a rock for a while or at least while i am on this project.

Tonight we went to see the Will Smith movie "Hancock".

I loved it. And Fred and Clem went with us and they brought Sofie. I love spending time with our niece. She is so beautiful it is hard to put into words how sweet her little soul is. She sat throught the whole movie and ate popcorn and then frll asleep. She is such a daddy's girl. It is really precious. Here are some picks from the Archlight movie theater and while we were coming out of the movie Angelo ran right into Selma Hayack, She is hot!!!!

Also out in front of the theatere is the Bat car from "Dark Night" which makes me want to see it real bad. Now i am falling asleep while i am writing ao

Um Hellur!

Today was a beast. Man I tell you I made a huge mistake at work and it has literally hurt my stomach. I overlooked a very important purchase order and did not notice that it was not complete back in May. Well after my vacation and getting knee deep in this new facility build out I forgot, well it has caused my boss some incredible grief and strain which she should not have. I should be making my way to the top and instead i feel like i am going right down the toilet. I take my job serious right I just forgot and i am not going to break and say HELLUR, I am doing my job and trying to take care of some other stuff which I am not going to mention but it is work related. I am not a punk.!!!

So after work I went to Runyon Canyon with Lis, she is like the Alfa Vanarama!! Love it, anyway we did a great hike through the canyon and it gave me some peace of mind and I guess i will leave the rest up to God, so if your listening big guy, can you please sharpen my brain a bit???

Lis by the way cracks me the heck up. She is such a character to be with but when we came down this hill (which really was like a cliff) she was so quick to turn into a girl, man i was cracking up! Thanks for the laughs Pal! Love Ya!

Night all. I am out.

Wedding Bliss

Sunday evening we went to Kevin and Bud's wedding. Our first of this degree of importance. It was in the backyard garden of a friends home in Hancock Park. The house was stunning, Felt like a home right out of Steel Magnolias. There were about 75 guest and Kevin & Bud were dressing in white linen. It was so beautiful. As Bud's frind Diane Smith from New Orleans read her poem, I started to cry so I moved to the back of the crowd so no one would see me. Then another friend read a poem and it was so moving what he wrote, I will remember it always. Half way through the ceremony the woman who was preciding over the ceremony started in with "there once was a man from Nantucket" the entire gardens filled with laughter. Whe it was over Bud & Kevin turned and said a few words to all of us (i cried again), then it was cocktail time again. It was really so precious and shiny and refreshing to see such a group of friends, Bud told us, we have biological family and we have logical family and we were the logical ones. Sweet just sweet. SO i just got a few shots wioth my phone camera so I will apologize right now for it not being such great quality. I wish you all a wonderful and productive week.

Went to see a man about a Horse!

This Sunday we started our day at the coffee shop with Lis & Jodi. I am house sitting for Jodi so we exchanged keys and rules etc... After coffee Angelo and I went with Lis to the L.A. Equestrian Center for a horse show. My goodness there were 10 year old kids riding these horses and jumping over the poles, I must say it was so cool. I snapped a few pictures with my phone. I was very impressed at the entire set up and competition. We will see it again soon I am sure of it. Have a great week!

Wanted

Quick note that I forgot to add is that last night Angelo took me and our friend Lis to see wanted at the Archlight. Best movie I have seen with Angelina Jolie. Eat Girl said everyone after the movie, but I say keep starving yourself and add one more kid to the family. She is very skinny and I am partial to those skinny people!!!!

Really the movie was fantastic, Lis and I were bobbing and weaving and getting a bit squeely at the shooting scenes and we were very manly at the driving scenes. We would have been hi-fiving if it would not have been a bother to the rest of the theatre. Ok thats it, Angelo and I are off to Bud & Kevins wedding. Go see wanted

New Game

Well yesterday Angelo/Fred/ & myself decided to play a round of 18 and thought it would be a good experience to try another golf course. So as you can see from the pictures I am on the 9th hole teeing off and what you can't see that 25 yards below my tee is the WORLDS largest hole! You know it, my little white Nike ball went right to the bottom. ok so it sounsds bad but hereis the kicker. (he course we found is at the VA hostpital and since I served in the U.S.Army I play for 7 dollars...so I am not to worried about being embarrased because 90 of my peers on this course are Vietnam Vet's so I know their vision can not see it way down there.
So enough is enough right well not with me, I have to now walk into this ginormous hole and chip my ball out! where in the world is tiger when I need him??? Anyway my game is getting better. Hope you have a great day!

Golf, Golf, Golf

Well it has been 8 day's since I last blogged. I am sorry to all my fans... LOL

So for those of you who have tuned in to see how we are doing with golf, well we are the shizzzz. Who knew we would take to golf like we have. I utterly love it. I am in awe everytime I play as I am really good at it. I love to watch Angelo play because it is as if we were playing a master tour. He is so methodical about his game. It is our favorite time to chat. All we seem to talk about and watch is golf.

I just found out that Jake (Bri's Jake) is going to bring his clubs down for their vacation. I hear a personal day coming. I have been going right after work to practice and get into my game. Did I mention I love it.... Angelo and I have decided that we will start teaching our kids to play at a very young age. I have noticed that in the past month my focus in everyday life is clear. I am more patient, more engaged as far as physical things at work, and not only do I count the minutes each day until i get to take off to the course. I have been learning a bit each day from my Best Friend since high school Kim, she quiz's me via email whilw we are working. I am getting there. I wish I could have learned and played this game with my dad years ago. He would love it. I also wish I could have to chance to teach Zoie how to play golf. I miss her like crazy but I can not figure out how to reach her with out making her irritated! It seems so damn unfair!!!!!!!

Here are some pics from the driving range and a pic of my Angelo in our golf class on Saturday morning. So my goal is to play all 42 courses in Los Angeles county.

So as for the rest of life, Angelo is doing well in his job and getting in his workouts daily, You know he must amintain those muscles. (it was an agreement we made years ago) LOL. My job is just dandy, we are 3 weeks behind schedule on th ebuild out and I got an wemail yesterday that said we will start moving the warehouse portion in 2 1/2 weeks. Do you know how much stuff that includes??? Well it is a lot and by alot I mean a damn weeks worth of dirty!!! I am excited however because my boss and I are getting along so well and since golfing my productivity is so wonderful, that she has noticed. It is great. Work is right there like it should be. I also think that i kind of stepped up my game also. I now believe that what you put into is what you get out of any situation. Just ask Tiger Woods.

NEWSFLASH...... I found out that Celine Dione is going to be in Los ANgeles on December 2 and I also saw that front row tickets are 179.00. I swore i would see her while she was in Las Vegas but I did not ever go, so Santa if you are listening, BOY you better call ticketmasters right now big man and get your favorite ameture golf pro some tickets!!!!!!

I hoep all is well in everyones world and Zoie if your out there, I miss you kid...

Peace and Hairgreease

July 4th, 2008

Happy July Fourth everyone.

So today has been so relaxing. Still enjoying the air conditioning. I can not believe I lived the past 6 years with out a/c. It seems so calm and comfortable at home these day's. I was thinking about Zoie alot today, wishing she were here or I was there and the three of us(me/angelo/zoie) could hang out and watch the fireworks. I guess that ship has sailed. I know i will get to be close to her someday, so until then I will have faith that God has another plan for us. I might be getting over this sinus infection soon, it seems that the prescription my docotor gave me, the 5 pills for 23 dollars, is finally getting somewhere. I still feel like I am underwater but it is feeling lighter.

I am also feeling bad still that I am not able to make it to my sisters wedding next weekend, but airfare is so unfair! I love that I live in California but not being able to get to certain family events is tough sometime and it takes a toll on the heart, both hearts. I am sure some day she will understand. I miss my niece and nephew Claire and Logan, i am posting a pic of the 4 of us this past summer. We are going to head out now and take a hike through Runyon Canyon, I hope everyone has an awsome fourth!!!

air conditioning

ok so I forgot to blog last night because I was enjoying my A/C. I have installed both units. One in the bedroom and one in the living room. This could be the second happiest day of my life! In case some of you do not realize it has been hot as heck here in Los Angeles. I just wanted to share this.
